The Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, Alexander Novak held a meeting of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the 6th Future Leaders Forum of the World Petroleum Council, which will be held on June 23-28, 2019 in St. Petersburg.

Opening the meeting, Alexander Novak said that Russia’s bid for this large-scale youth event was approved unanimously by the members of the World Petroleum Council.

It is expected that Future Leaders Forum – 2019 will be unprecedented in scale and composition of participants. According to preliminary estimates, up to 2 000 young men and women professionally associated with the world oil and gas industry will take part in this event.

It should be mentioned that in May 2018 in Krakow (Poland) the participants of the Executive and Program Committees of the World Petroleum Council meetings approved the proposed RNC WPC concept of the business program of the Future Leaders Forum – 2019. It is expected that the plenary session will be devoted to the topic “Energy transformation – map of the future». The thematic sessions will be united into three blocks – Leadership, Innovation, and Sustainability. The technical program of the 6th Youth Forum will be synchronized with the agenda of the 23rd World Petroleum Congress, which will be held in 2020 in Houston (USA).
