The gala closing of the Future Leaders Forum 2019 was held in Konstantinovsky Palace – the official Russian President’s residence on the picturesque coast of the Gulf of Finland, where the Russian authorities receive important guests.

Kirill Molodtsov expressed his gratitude to the World Oil Council for the opportunity to hold a representative youth forum in Russia, St. Petersburg. He recalled that the active Forum preparation in Russia was carried out for almost two years. It was a great teamwork. Molodtsov highlighted the role of the Ministry of Energy of Russia, the contribution of the Administration of St. Petersburg, many oil companies, and the personal merits of Vladimir Litvinenko, the rector of the St. Petersburg Mining University.
Tor Fjaeran in his turn praised the efforts of the Russian side to hold the Forum at the highest level. “It was a beautifully organized Forum. We will mark the cities on this globe where our forums will be held. We will hand over the globe to the National Committee of the WPC of the country, which will be chosen in a year as the host of the 7th Youth Forum. And may it turn into a tradition”!
The closing ceremony after-party was no less striking than its entire leisure program. Representatives of various musical genres performed at four stages all around the huge park and fountains. The evening ended with fireworks and a disco party.
Few participants were very excited to share their impressions.
“One of the most pleasant memories for me is the closing of the Future Leaders Forum in Konstantinovsky Palace! As you know, it is a residence of the President of the Russian Federation, its area is more than 140 hectares! I still cannot believe that I had the opportunity to visit this incredible place.
The organizers took care of every single detail, at the entrance we were met by elegant ladies and gentlemen and live music band. After the official part
all participants enjoyed Raindrops musical band, could walk through the park and fountains territory, and also pin down their own coin as a memory of the forum! After that we enjoyed the fireworks and made wishes! It was great. I would like to thank everyone for the incredible atmosphere and unforgettable moments”, said Valeriya Mitlyarova, Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University), Russia.
“Future Leaders Forum’s closing ceremony in Konstantinovsky Palace was such an exceptional experience. We were pleased with honor to enjoy the beautiful architecture and landscape art monuments located on the picturesque coast of the Gulf of Finland.
In all aspects, it was the most prestigious place for the closing ceremony in which we reflected on what we did, where we are heading, and what the future looks like with all upcoming challenges. In addition, as future leaders we took in our consideration the roles and responsibilities that we shall commit to and how we can play significant part in developing sustainable, innovated and more efficient business. We all walked out that night from the Palace with optimistic ambitions to make positive impact in oil and gas industry and create the future that we are looking for. It was phenomenal”, added Hussain Ali Al-Rashdi, Senior Wells Planning & Designing Manager, Petroleum Development Oman, Sultanate of Oman.
